When I moved to New York from Chicago, my sense of purpose began to evolve in new ways. I wasn’t looking for a fancier job title, but for environments that reflected the way I wanted to live: intentional, stylish, culturally immersive, and alive.

Before In Common, I spent years writing, producing, and storytelling across fashion and beauty. I interviewed creatives, directed shoots, shaped editorial narratives, built digital worlds, and learned what makes people feel seen. I sharpened my eye for culture long before I had a name for what I was building.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Like many of us, I was craving community and spaces where we could actually hear each other. I was looking for places where the vibe felt thoughtful, elevated, and inclusive without being performative, and where the connection wasn’t forced but happened because the environment welcomed it.

In Common NYC became the place where all those instincts finally met—a new way for me to creatively express what I’ve always been drawn to, now brought to life through experiences and shared moments.

Whether you’ve been with us since the first gathering or are just discovering this world, I’m glad you’re here.
