When I started In Common, I wasn’t just creating an event series — I was building a world that reflected my evolving values, taste, and desire for community. I had just moved to New York from Chicago and was seeking connections that felt authentic to who I was becoming.
After years of writing, producing, and curating across the fashion and beauty space, I’d sharpened my eye for culture and people, and I found myself wanting something more. Something stylish and sincere, like who I am at my core.
NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Like many of my peers, I was craving spaces where we could actually hear each other. Where connection came before job titles or follower counts, and where the vibe felt equally intentional, inclusive, and beautifully curated.
In Common NYC was born from that need — a way to bring storytelling, culture, and curation together to make people feel seen, inspired, and part of something bigger.
Whether you’ve been to one event or are just discovering us, I’m so glad you’re here.
